Ian Sturrock: Managing Director
Ian is the fifth generation of the Sturrock family to run the business and holds a diploma in Funeral Directing from the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) and is a past Scottish President of the Society of Allied & Independent Funeral Directors.
David Comb: Company Director
David is the fourth generation of the Comb family to be involved with the running of the company. David is also a past president of the Dundee & District National Association of Funeral Directors and is a well known face in the community.
Harry Stewart: Company Director
A trained nurse and former member of the Ambulance Service. Harry's caring nature is very well known in the community, he has been with the company for over 30 years. Harry is now based at our Broughty Ferry branch.
Kay McFadyen: Company Director
Another trained nurse and qualified Pharmacy Technician, well used to working in a caring environment. Kay has over twenty years experience, holds a SCOTVEC Certificate in Funeral Directing & is a member of The British Institute of Embalmers. She is also an N.A.F.D. Assessor, responsible for staff training.
Jim Ney: Funeral Director
Jim's canny nature is well known and much appreciated by many bereaved families. He has been with the company since 1974.
Jim recently retired but continues to work with us on a part time basis.
John Glennie: Funeral Director
John is also very well known locally. Having previously worked at Kings Cross Hospital, he is used to working in a caring environment and has many years experience in the profession. John holds the advanced diploma in funeral directing from the National Association of Funeral Directors and is based in our South Road branch.
Brian Hart: Funeral Director
Joined the company as a Funeral Operative, gaining a vast experience behind the scenes before commencing his training as a Funeral Director.
Brian holds a diploma in Funeral Directing from the National Association of Funeral Directors and is based at our Forfar Road branch.
Bob Lowden: Embalmer/Branch Co-ordinator
Joined the company as a Funeral Operative &
went on to study Embalming. He is now a member of the British Institute of Embalmers.
He has been with the company since 2004 and holds the advanced diploma in funeral services from the National Association of Funeral Directors. Bob co-ordinates the day to day running of our Forfar Road Branch.
Peter Bruce: Funeral Director
You could say Peter was destined to join the trade having spent 18 years of his life living in Balgay Cemetery, where his father was Superintendant.
Peter has been part of the company for many years as a funeral operative and has now gained the advanced diploma in funeral directing from the National Association of Funeral Directors and is based at Forfar Road.
Avril Brady: Funeral Arranger/ Transport Coordinator
Avril is the third generation of the Davidson family to be involved with funeral arrangements. She is a well-known face in the community and has worked for the company since 1985. Avril is based at our South Road branch where she attends to funeral arrangements and co-ordinates our fleet of vehicles.
Susan Keiloh: Funeral Administrator
Susan has been involved in cash room & executry work since leaving school, working for a firm of solicitors. She qualified as a Scottish Law Accountant in 1999.
She joined us in 2010 and takes care of all our administrative needs.
Joe Vogan: Hearse Driver
Joe's attention to detail and dedicated care of our clients is well known in the community. Joe has been with the company for 7 years and is responsible for co-ordinating the maintenance & valeting of the Vehicles.
Tom Ross & Dave McQueen: Chauffeurs
Our Chauffeurs Tom and Dave are both experienced drivers and aim to quietly transport our clients to the funeral in their immaculately turned out vehicles.
